Arabi Specialized Hospital for Eye, Nose, Throat and Dental Hospital was opened in 2021. It is a joint Omani-Egyptian investment project, which includes a constellation of experts specializing in eye diseases and vision correction, as well as multiple optics services, retinal surgeries, LASIK, black and white surgeries, pediatric surgeries, strabismus, and implantation of all types of lenses and surgeries of nose, throat and dental surgeries.

In 2021, Arabi Specialized Hospital took over the operations of Magrabi Hospital and started working as an independent hospital in the region. While taking over from Magrabi Hospital and Centers, all their previous on-premises licenses needed to be changed/migrated and assigned on to a new tenant for Arabi Specialized Hospital.

One of the biggest challenges Arabi Specialized Hospital were facing was staying on top of or ahead of schedule and to be able to safely store and share files with their coworkers without jeopardizing vital company information or business continuity. They were also facing a challenge to migrate their user data, emails etc. Including the configuration of ADS, DHCP and DNS on Primary, Secondary and branch level Active Directory.

Working around these problems was proving to be costly, time intensive, and inefficient for the customer. This is where KalSoft offered them our support and consulted them to move to cloud using M365 business plans. For Storage and File Sharing, we offered M365 Business Standard which includes OneDrive for storage. Microsoft Office 365 offers 1 TB of OneDrive storage for convenient file storage and sharing.

Our solution and support included the following measures:

  • Activate new M365 mail accounts and migrate previous mails and data
  • Install and configure ADS, DHCP and DNS on Primary, Secondary and branch AD
  • Verify & troubleshoot replication, DNS, AD, DC, DHCP, and CA
  • Uninstall old AD Servers and configure group policy from scratch
  • Configure DHCP server with IP scope for all VLAN schema
  • Configure WSUS on the Windows Server
